Donation Request Letters
One of the most effective ways to request social donations for your raffle or silent auction is to write a letter of request that describes your event. If you're looking for suggestions on companies to request donations from, check out our donations page.
Writing the letters
Many of the places that you ask for donations will require a letter along with a voided social ticket. It is a good idea to begin soliciting donations as many months in advance as you can. For wedding socials, you should include the social organizer's name, as well as the names of the couple. For charitable fundraisers, you will want to include some information on your charity.
Feel free to use or change the templates below to suit your event. Copy and paste it into a word processor, and add the address block at the top.
