I had a great experience here dining with a friend and I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Our server Rachena provided excellent service and promptly made us delicious beverages. The menu items were explained thoroughly and were all super delicious and packed full of flavour! We had some great leftovers too which was a bonus. I wanted to say many thanks for the lovely experience. Hope to be back soon!
What a lovely place and cool, different experience. A large plate is brought out filled with different foods & placed in the centre of the table, then each person helps themselves to their own serving. It finished with a couple desserts. Atmosphere very nice, warm, antiquey, & spacious with at least 2 different dining areas & a patio outside. Apparently, the food selection changes almost daily. Server was very nice and attentive, he aimed to please! Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back.
My mom and I had the Sunday brunch and it was delicious!! Our server, Kathy, was amazing!
I'd definitely recommend eating here. I don't think I've ever tasted so many flavors in one meal! And the outdoor eating area is beautiful, with tons of flowers that makes it very cozy. A place I'll stop at again whenI'm in Winnipeg!
I wouldn’t call this fancy, but it was good. It was family style comfort food. Huge portions. The fettuccini was rich (so creamy) and risotto balls were good. The pizza was nice. The charred romaine with capers was good. The poutine was good; which makes me think their breakfast potatoes will be good. The chocolate zen mousse was good but the crust was like leche cake (wet cake). Maybe better as a crust? Minor complaint; too much flaked Parmesan - it was on several dishes. The drink menu was extensive but I didn’t see a zero proof section. I didn’t feel like asking, but I think that would be a welcome addition.
Really great service. Andre is very experienced; he was great. Nice ambiance on the patio, though the interior looked cozy too. The whole restaurant had a nice feel. It was clean. The bathroom was clean. I appreciate the waterless urinal.
One some small weird detail that could be improved. When the cheque was presented, it was in a CIBC folio which struck me as out of place.
Plan to be back with the kids, probably for brunch. I would recommend this restaurant.
Chaise Cafe is like this cozy spot in a converted house that's perfect for a chill hangout with friends or family.
What's cool is they switch up their menu every day based on what they can get their hands on. You pay a flat rate per person, and they hook you up with a medium-small serving of the day's savory dish, kinda like tapas style. You can go back for seconds or thirds if you're feeling it.
They offer this membership thingy for discounts, but honestly, I just tag along with my kid 'cause they're already a member. So, win-win.
Getting there's a breeze – the #10 bus practically drops you off at the doorstep, and if you're driving, street parking's the way to go.
Both the desserts were so yummy.
Kathy & Adam were both very sweet and gave good recommendations on food and drinks
