Had a very terrible experience at their hall. I attended a party at their hall and after the party had barely started, the hall manager asked everyone to leave the hall with no single explanation. She was shouting at the top of her voice and even went further to switch off the light with everyone in the all. I have never heard of seen anything like this before. The police was called and the issue has been taking forever to get resolved. I will never recommend this hall to anyone. If you want to enjoy your event look for someone else. If I could rate it zero, I would.
Don’t use this place unless you wanna deal with a silly, uncouth and unreasonable so called manager in charge of this hall named Jessica. Last Saturday was a total disaster at my brother’s birthday party because of this sick lady. She walked into the hall while the event was going on, switched off the lights and screamed at all of us to leave immediately. It’s the audacity for me! She disconnected the power outlets and our DJ couldn’t play and we sat in silence and awkwardness. Absolutely ridiculous!
The Police had to be called several times throughout the day to calm the situation and she almost made the happy day be a sad one for us all after spending so much and planning for months! We were all so embarrassed and sad! Terrible service. We made payments for the hall and had agreements, we didn’t deserve this treatment at all! Totally insaneeeee!
Avoid this place. Or if you’re not black or colored, you could go there. 🙃 Zero zero zero star.
Though the hall and environment is nice, you might have to deal with a lot of racial attacks from staff members, one in particular that think she owns the building, Jessica. She was really terrible violently attacking guest because they are black. We had a birthday party for a friend in one of the halls, while another party was going on in the other hall. But it was our hall and our party she was hell bent on shorting down, the cops had to be called in twice to resolve the issues. The swore obscenities at us, cut out the power to the hall. All of this she did not do to the other party. This was suppose to be a happy day but sadly it will always be remembered as a day we as Africans were racially attacked just because we came to have fun at a party. If you feel you are a minority I will advise to think again or get police protecting for your event.
I witnessed an unfortunate experience due to the behavior of the event center manager. The manager displayed unprofessional and inappropriate behavior, which significantly impacted my experience and that of other guests that were in attendance.
Firstly, the manager’s lack of experience was evident in their inability to handle basic event logistics. There were instances of miscommunication and disorganization, which led to several avoidable issues during the event.
More concerning was the manager’s unprofessional conduct. They were dismissive and condescending when approached with questions or concerns. This behavior created a hostile environment, making it difficult to address issues effectively.
Overall, the manager’s conduct was unacceptable and did not reflect the standards one would expect from such event center. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues to ensure a better experience for future clients.
This is my first time attending an event in this hall. However, I had an unforgettable negative experience and will never recommend this place to anyone. If someone invites me to this hall, I will never attend any event again.
On July 13, 2024, we had a 40th birthday party for a dear friend and brother, and I was part of the organizing committee. At 2 pm, I drove to the hall to drop off some of the food items for setup. The decorator and celebrant friends were there to drop off items because we had to arrange the hall for the evening event. Jessica yelled at about 15 adults and two minors to get out of the hall, and she called the Police. Her action delayed the setup, and the party didn’t start on time.
Later that evening, when the event started, she entered the hall and yelled at guests( Winnipeggers including families from out of town) and food vendors to move our stuff because someone had done something outside. Jessica also turned off the lights and unplugged the power system. Jessica’s actions were unprofessional, rude, and condescending. Her actions disrupted the event and halted our events for hours. We had planned and spent money on this birthday party, and treating someone like this on their special day was unfair, unsympathetic, and traumatizing. Police arrived the second time to intervene before we could continue. It was a sad scene, and I am sure no one will forget it soon.
