I attended a Nigerian wedding at the East St. Paul Arena on Saturday, May 17th, and I was genuinely impressed with the venue. The parking lot was incredibly spacious—easily accommodating over 200 cars without any hassle.
We brought in a Spinarc 360 video booth, and the elevator access made transporting it upstairs smooth and stress-free. The hall itself was spacious and beautifully arranged, comfortably seating over 150 guests at round tables.
The kitchen area was efficiently repurposed as a bartender station, and the lighting and overall setup created a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The washrooms were clean, accessible, and spacious enough for guests—and even the bride—to comfortably change into a second outfit for the after-party.
One of the highlights was the arena allowed the DJ to play music from 7 p.m. to midnight without any noise issues, which kept the energy going strong all night.
Overall, it’s a fantastic venue for weddings or any large gathering. Highly recommend!
This facility like many arenas is old. With that comes a number of flaws. The rubber flooring around the rink is incredibly worn in spots and many sections are not covering the cement. With young children and skates it’s hard keeping them on the sections of mat. The canteen is almost never open. We’ve gone during the day, in the evenings even at open skate and never seen it open. Lastly the elevator to get upstairs is also never open. Access to it is from the outside of the building and this door is always locked. My elderly father liked to come watch one of the activities my son participated in upstairs weekly and he would need to call ahead to make sure the door was open. It was difficult for someone with limited mobility to try and find someone on site to do this. It renders this building not very accessible to people.
I got skinny there it’s gray they don’t teach us that much stuff but for one of the teachers there I know two of them Miss Steinback‘s Raquel I think that’s her name. She teaches at my school and Emmett is like really nice.
Come here during the hockey season to watch my grandkids play. Easy access, good parking and clean washrooms. Also much warmer than most rinks!
Good site for private functions and as a sports venue
