We’ve come to the Herman Prior Center for their daily lunch.
HPC does a daily lunch for $8 which although directed at seniors, is open to all.
It does require a reservation to be made the day before.
Today’s menu was a garden salad, shepherds pie, followed by a healthy slice of chocolate chip banana cake. All were delicious.
We will definitely add this little gem to our lunch out rotation.

A fantastic, large venue and community centre that is no longer focused solely on the local aging population (please update your name on your Google listing). Herman Prior Activity Centre (new name) has redefined itself as an activity hub for seniors AND folks in every other age group, with a variety of events going on nearly every day! I have attended many events here and have been involved with booking/organizing events here. The Herman Prior is currently under tremendous leadership who are fresh, innovative, and enthusiastic about Portage la Prairie. Pride Portage, Prairie Drama Academy, and Culture Days have hosted events here - anything from visual art and live theatre to dances and concerts. Conveniently located and accessible to all, our community can enjoy a vibrant gathering place for nearly every type of event!

My sister booked this hall for our Dad's 90th birthday party. The space we used was a nice, bright, clean room. There is lots of accessible parking for this facility. This facility served our needs perfectly.

We used the Herman Prior Centre for an anniversary party and we were very pleased with the facilities and their willingness to help. They didn't nickel and dime every extra request and were very generous and accommodating.
We have an Auditorium, The Crocus Room, Boardroom, an Office area all for rent on a day basis or for some by the hour.
