Red River co-op on Main St Winnipeg, Damage my Truck, I am unable to fill with gas with out it being a pain. over $500.00 to fix. blame me and my vehicle even tho it was there attendant that did the damage. ( update - have talked to all the manager. They will not do anything. Not even a coffee for the inconvenience. Reaching out to insurance and legal counsel. I warn all that they will not take any accountability and by the reviews you can see community is not as big as a deal to them.)
I came to the co-op gas station on Osborne Street to go to the car wash as I was turning in there was a puddle with a little bit of snow. I went through it as soon as I went through it my car sank down to the bottom and got stuck the manager of this co-op refuses to help me so I phoned a tow truck on my own and if there’s any damage to my car, you will be hearing from me do not go to co-op on Osborne Street. I can’t even believe that the manager would not help me. He’s Unbelievable it’s their parking lot. They should be held liable and they will be because I am not going to be ignored by some manager who doesn’t have any people skills at all!!
So I buy a red bull while getting gas at the st Anne’s gasbar, I notice the can is defective and leaking when I get to pembina. So logically I go to the closest coop at pembina and stafford with my receipt and for some reason the associate won’t let me exchange it, quite frankly turned a simple exchange into something trivial. I’m not driving all the way back to the other gas station in rush hour traffic waste the gas I just bought from you to exchange a $3.29 drink that’s seal is broken. It shouldn’t matter which location I bought it from, my money, car wash receipts, and coop number are good at all of your locations. Don’t quite understand why your staff has to make an issue out of something that shouldve been simple and straightforward maybe someone needs to tell her that it doesn’t come out of her pocket….And yes it’s a $3.29 drink but it’s the principle of the matter.
For the last three weeks coop flyers have been a problem! Three weeks ago no flyer , last week I got three flyers one day before it expired missing the weekend specials! This week being June 22- June 29 no flyer so far today being June 26th! What is the problem! I checked with the post office in Landmark,Manitoba and was told that there is a big problem with them receiving them! Obviously we need to change our shopping habits and maybe changing to Sobeys where there is no problem getting their flyers! Customer #0456028!
The phones do not work at HO. I’ve called 6 times today. Employee at the Waverley location was very rude when I questioned the $250 hold on my credit card for $46 worth of gas.
Waverley has only self service and I’ll never go back there again. I only go to full service stations for gas.

Spacious, well lit, good variety of products. The meat counter stands out as having great products. Fresh produce, bakery and pharmacy departments are also very good.
This review is specifically for the Floral Department. Such beautiful high-quality arrangements or grab-n-go bouquets. The small Lily arrangement was
Candance C. You are a living saint. Your dedication to customer service is impeccable. I came there just for a few things and saw that the palm trees were fairly priced and grabbed one. You and the gentleman before you changed shifts helped wrap that bad boy up after several trips, offered more assitance outside the store, and then you noticed that my laces were untied. Due to the storm today Candance was worried about walking a big plant like that and tied my shoes as I juggled my groceries (unasked)! I couldnt be more grateful ! A year ago I had two broken legs and was on crutches and boot casts and was never offered even help getting a cart or basket at the store and it deterred me but today Candance warmed my heart! She needs a raise and a promotion!
This review is for the floral area ..I bought beautiful roses and greenery grabbing and running to my mom’s to drop them off … she just called to tell me they lasted 2 weeks !! Great value .. wish I had a pic of them they were beautiful and def cheered her up lasting as long as they did :)
What a poor store this has become. Prices are so far out of sight, we have never seen such overcharging. This was a decent store years ago but it appears they have ruined it. The other observation is, nothing in store ia being reduced when it's expiring which means it's probably all being disposed of which is highly unacceptable. Staff are friendly but that is where it ends. Room.for tons of improvement from this company.

I've brought my dog (medium Springer Spaniel) in the cart on her leash plenty of times to this location. She is not a service dog however I've never had an issue once since I've been living in this area (8 months). I've called in advanced to make sure she was allowed as well and staff has said no problem, as other people being their small dogs in.
But today I was approached by management and told I cannot have her in with me. She said there was one complaint about her this morning? I wonder what the complaint was... As I had about 3 different thrilled people telling me how beautiful and well behaved she is.. Perhaps it was the deli staff member with the gray hair and beard net. Older man as he was giving me the worst stare down...
I understand if she's not a licensed service dog it is policy but if you have a policy as such it's important that it's forced with everyone every time.
Co-op claims to be such a family oriented store. Well my dog is my child and we didn't feel very welcomed.
All in all have never had any issues. Staff is always great and the manager who approached me was reasonable it just sucked as this is the one store I can actually bring my dog with me as a single dog mom who has to get dog walking and groceries done in one day/night.
Thursday, December 23, 2024...Went into store at 7:45 PM...staff was friendly...BUT...Asked for fresh bologna after Deli-kid pats the leftover piece in the cooler with dirty gloves instead of just pointing at it. He used the same gloves and goes and gets me a fresh un-opened roll. Then he cuts it open and sticks his hands in the garbage can to move the plastic bag out of the way...so he can throw away the wrapping on the bologna. Then he cuts the bologna without cleaning the cutter of other meats or changing his filthy gloves. THEN...he catches the bologna with the same gloves and puts the meat onto a clean wrapping. I was so disgusted and mad...but I can tell the kid just started working there. I bought the damn bologna, rather than give him a hard time. TRAIN YOUR DELI PEOPLE!!! I wasted $6.00 and threw the bologna away, and told my elderly mother that Co-op didn't have any. Disappointing. The staff though...are great people, and treat my mother extremely well. Tired of having to complain about this.
Honestly the best quality grocery store in Winnipeg. It's big and has variety of selections of everything. Price is reasonable (better than sobey) and has lots of local products. My favorite part of the store is the bakery - they carry the most selection of different bread and buns. If you are looking for good hot sauce - they carry all the hot sauces from the Hot Ones tv show.
I recently moved into my home last year and have been frequenting COOP because I find their produce superior to most. 9/10 I am in there I get followed around. It is never discreet it is always very obvious and I am sick of it. Never going back there again.
This isn’t the first time I had to spill out milk from Co-op because it was sour. Today is August 20th, and the expiry date is Aug 28th. I have never had this problem with Walmart. Co-op really needs to reevaluate their cold chain and find out where it’s being broken, because this shouldn’t be happening this often. Otherwise, I love Co-op especially for the variety in local products, which is why I didn’t give a lower star rating.

Coca-Cola (pack of 20) was advertised as 2/15$ with the wrong sign. I went to self-checkouty total was ~30$. When I asked about this they were quite rude and adamantly stated that there was no way the coke was that price. They had my boyfriend go take this picture for proof and she voided the coke and wouldn't honour the price. They screwed up the label, and any other store would've adjusted the price for the mixup - Shoppers Drug Mart has done that for example.
Ok sorry, however this is starting to really aggravate me. It appears this Co-op caters to the older audience far more than anyone else and it's stressful. I'm beginning to really appreciate Walmart, they never give me a hard time and it's far cheaper at this point. My husband and I have been members of Co-op for over 12 years now and this is probably the most frustrating location. It's not the selection. It's the staff! You're all so miserable! I just want to pay and get the heck out! Don't haggle me over leaving something in the cart! I'm sorry you can't pull it along the cash roller anymore! Retire! I shall stick with Sobeys and Walmart, since your sales are really no better at this point.
I just need to get this experience out of my chest, it's torturing my mental health for too long.
In 2021winter, it was a very cold evening, and my bus was due in 20 min; I was shopping at the mall with some paid products with receipts in my bag. Co-op was near the bus stop, so I decided to go to Co-op Dakota to stay and walk around for a bit and wait until my bus came; I walked for 20 min, but I didn't want to buy anything. When I walked out out the checkout, one male employee stoped me and asked to check my bag, I was stunned for a few seconds, but I still let him check my bag anyway because I'm a legit person and I am not afraid, and I heard that there were lot of stealing going on , so that's why the male employee did it. However, this experience left a tremendous scar on my mental health and self-image because I've never thought someone would think I would steal , and the look from the male employee and not only him, he made other customers looked at me. Imagining if people in my situation at that moment, when everyone was looking at you like they are about to find a thief.
My bad didn't contain any items that the male employee suspected, and he let me go. Im also skeptical if the employee was allowed to check any individuals bag.
I have tried to compare prices here to Walmart, and it’s just an uphill curve. Nothing stays the same. I love shopping here though.
Shopping at RRC is an awareness journey. Some sale prices are a Wow, some are so-so but everyday regular pricing needs to be assessed by item.

Staff is always awesome and the store is never dirty. Prices are sometimes a little outrageous and while they have lots of stuff, they always seem to be out of the things that I want. The rewards system is nice, but having to have 2 different co-op numbers because the store is owned by one franchise and the gas station (which is on the same lot) is owned by another.
Overall, take it or leave it. It's at least convenient if you live in town.
Always clean, well stocked, friendly staff
Great meat sales & I can always get what I need to make quick dinners.
Amazing staff... always helpful.
Great store has everything you need
Nice clean store with everything you need. Some sales occasionally that are worth going there for. The staff are pleasant to.

Receiver was great 👍 terrible spot to back in with long wheelbase trucks. Garbage bins dropped poorly by waste management, making for a tough back in. Day cabs should have no issue.
*The store needs to contact waste management to fix this*
Instead of saying "it's not our problem"
Always good selection of foods, fresh deli dishes! Friendly staff
This is the cleanest and most spacious grocery store I have ever been in. The staff was very helpful too! I will be shopping here again.
I like the quality of this grocery store and in particular the meat counters. However, and this is a big one… they are absolutely unreliable when it comes to having well stocked shelves. This is my number one deterrent in shopping here. I’ve been in and not been able to get the simplest most common items like ground beef. Ground beef was not on sale but the shelf was completely empty. My most recent visit the entire poultry counter was empty and I’m talking absolutely nothing available not even a rogue wing! Surely you can do better than this. I’d love to give you more business if I could trust that when I go into your store I can find what I’m looking for and not be frustrated and forced to make another trip to another store. It’s a huge waste of my time.
I like the renovation, it’s made the store feel nice and clean. I do think you could add to your product lines, with all that extra space not being utilized to its potential.
One other thing to add is I greatly dislike that you now require loonies to use your carts. Slows down everything and in a world where we never have enough time this is not a time saver for a lot of people.
Two days back,Got pasta from the store. When I was about to cook it,I noticed something brownish in the bag. Clearly there was bugs in the pasta bag. So,I decided to returned that. When I went in to the store and asked for the manager, they said their manager left already but I can talk to the employee.I showed him the bag , He didn’t even said sorry. I mean Why aren’t you shuffling your stuff if something is expired or spoiled. He asked me do you want refund or want some another bag.Clearly,I choose the refund and after waited for 10 minutes they gave my money back but nobody apologised even a single time.I guess they have an attitude issue but I am never gonna buy anything from here as they have everything expired.

Traveling on vacation and stopped into this station because of the car wash. Well...what a waste of money! Probably the worst automatic wash I've been through. Honestly, it couldn't even wash cat tracks off the tonneau cover even when I paid for the most expensive wash. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be stepping on the gas pedal instead of the brake.
I’m tired of this co op. The car wash is terrible . The drink machines are always broken . And you can’t pay at the pump you have to go in to pre pay and then when you are done pumping your gas it doesn’t give you a receipt . And have to wait a day they said for it to give back what you didn’t pump. So it’s not pay at the pump when you have to go inside twice . Done with it
Horrible car wash. Doesn't clean at all.
Best gas station in town, friendly staff, clean
I use this outlet of Co-op every week to fill up with gas. Forecourt kept clean and pumps in good condition. Always pay at the pump which works fine. Carwash an added bonus and only automatic wash in town.
