Hey my name is Zeljko l am coop member over 20 years. This year l don't have check from Coop. I call two times head office lady told me she sent me form to fill never happened two months waiting. Very disappointed no friendly staff only promise. I think people need doing something about staff in coop
Red River co-op on Main St Winnipeg, Damage my Truck, I am unable to fill with gas with out it being a pain. over $500.00 to fix. blame me and my vehicle even tho it was there attendant that did the damage. ( update - have talked to all the manager. They will not do anything. Not even a coffee for the inconvenience. Reaching out to insurance and legal counsel. I warn all that they will not take any accountability and by the reviews you can see community is not as big as a deal to them.)
So I buy a red bull while getting gas at the st Anne’s gasbar, I notice the can is defective and leaking when I get to pembina. So logically I go to the closest coop at pembina and stafford with my receipt and for some reason the associate won’t let me exchange it, quite frankly turned a simple exchange into something trivial. I’m not driving all the way back to the other gas station in rush hour traffic waste the gas I just bought from you to exchange a $3.29 drink that’s seal is broken. It shouldn’t matter which location I bought it from, my money, car wash receipts, and coop number are good at all of your locations. Don’t quite understand why your staff has to make an issue out of something that shouldve been simple and straightforward maybe someone needs to tell her that it doesn’t come out of her pocket….And yes it’s a $3.29 drink but it’s the principle of the matter.
must have an appointment or work there to get into the building, the doors are locked.
I came to the co-op gas station on Osborne Street to go to the car wash as I was turning in there was a puddle with a little bit of snow. I went through it as soon as I went through it my car sank down to the bottom and got stuck the manager of this co-op refuses to help me so I phoned a tow truck on my own and if there’s any damage to my car, you will be hearing from me do not go to co-op on Osborne Street. I can’t even believe that the manager would not help me. He’s Unbelievable it’s their parking lot. They should be held liable and they will be because I am not going to be ignored by some manager who doesn’t have any people skills at all!!

This review is specifically for the Floral Department. Such beautiful high-quality arrangements or grab-n-go bouquets. The small Lily arrangement was
Spacious, well lit, good variety of products. The meat counter stands out as having great products. Fresh produce, bakery and pharmacy departments are also very good.
Candance C. You are a living saint. Your dedication to customer service is impeccable. I came there just for a few things and saw that the palm trees were fairly priced and grabbed one. You and the gentleman before you changed shifts helped wrap that bad boy up after several trips, offered more assitance outside the store, and then you noticed that my laces were untied. Due to the storm today Candance was worried about walking a big plant like that and tied my shoes as I juggled my groceries (unasked)! I couldnt be more grateful ! A year ago I had two broken legs and was on crutches and boot casts and was never offered even help getting a cart or basket at the store and it deterred me but today Candance warmed my heart! She needs a raise and a promotion!
What a poor store this has become. Prices are so far out of sight, we have never seen such overcharging. This was a decent store years ago but it appears they have ruined it. The other observation is, nothing in store ia being reduced when it's expiring which means it's probably all being disposed of which is highly unacceptable. Staff are friendly but that is where it ends. Room.for tons of improvement from this company.
It is a very clean and nice small grocery store. It has lots of food made fresh and is nice for quick visits. It is also connected to the mall. However, it is quite price. The quality of the store definitely outweighs this. Would recommend the Co-op grocery store.

I've brought my dog (medium Springer Spaniel) in the cart on her leash plenty of times to this location. She is not a service dog however I've never had an issue once since I've been living in this area (8 months). I've called in advanced to make sure she was allowed as well and staff has said no problem, as other people being their small dogs in.
But today I was approached by management and told I cannot have her in with me. She said there was one complaint about her this morning? I wonder what the complaint was... As I had about 3 different thrilled people telling me how beautiful and well behaved she is.. Perhaps it was the deli staff member with the gray hair and beard net. Older man as he was giving me the worst stare down...
I understand if she's not a licensed service dog it is policy but if you have a policy as such it's important that it's forced with everyone every time.
Co-op claims to be such a family oriented store. Well my dog is my child and we didn't feel very welcomed.
All in all have never had any issues. Staff is always great and the manager who approached me was reasonable it just sucked as this is the one store I can actually bring my dog with me as a single dog mom who has to get dog walking and groceries done in one day/night.
Everything was great except the fact that only one cashier was working when it was busy.
Waited for over 15 minutes in line to check out our stuff.
Will give better star review when the store hires more cashiers.
People are in need of jobs and they only employ one cashier at a time even when it's busy is diabolical work on coops behalf.
Honestly the best quality grocery store in Winnipeg. It's big and has variety of selections of everything. Price is reasonable (better than sobey) and has lots of local products. My favorite part of the store is the bakery - they carry the most selection of different bread and buns. If you are looking for good hot sauce - they carry all the hot sauces from the Hot Ones tv show.
To start, the store had a great selection, it was a very clean store, and the cashier was super friendly. However the store was oddly laid out and it was a bit on the pricey side.
Just came back from this CO-OP store and will never went to this store again. I asked the cashier firstly and friendly ‘how you doing today’ and she had no response at all, I felt weird so I said politely ‘I just asked you how you doing today’ when she scanned the items and she finally answered reluctantly ‘I didn’t hear you.’ I am an asian, I have no idea whether this played a role in it, I just simply can’t understand this. How could she treat people like this as a cashier and in a customer service position. Time: 02/10/2025 12:47; cashier CSC 1.

I went to the Dakota street location on Thursday morning and was greeted with empty shelves. I spoke to the manager and was told this is totally acceptable and normal. I should ask the workers in the meat department for what I want. No need to shop there anymore. I'll go to a store that has food on the shelf.
Some of the reviews posted here hardly reflect my own experience, so this is my take on the Co-op on Dakota: the great staff is always friendly and helpful, managers politely listen to my requests for the return of products I hope are not discontinued, and I have no complaints about the groceries I bring home. Shopping on first Tuesdays and following flyer-posted deals pays off. Being a member of a Western Canadian co-operative, who doesn't love the cheque that arrives every February!?!
There is a girl standing at self checkout 6 pm , she is like ignoring the customers and just standing , plz let her know greeting customers welcome thank you is a part of her job, "Hi there! Just a quick reminder that greeting customers with a 'welcome' and 'thank you' is a part of great customer service. It helps create a positive experience for everyone. Thanks for understanding!
Coca-Cola (pack of 20) was advertised as 2/15$ with the wrong sign. I went to self-checkouty total was ~30$. When I asked about this they were quite rude and adamantly stated that there was no way the coke was that price. They had my boyfriend go take this picture for proof and she voided the coke and wouldn't honour the price. They screwed up the label, and any other store would've adjusted the price for the mixup - Shoppers Drug Mart has done that for example.
Ok sorry, however this is starting to really aggravate me. It appears this Co-op caters to the older audience far more than anyone else and it's stressful. I'm beginning to really appreciate Walmart, they never give me a hard time and it's far cheaper at this point. My husband and I have been members of Co-op for over 12 years now and this is probably the most frustrating location. It's not the selection. It's the staff! You're all so miserable! I just want to pay and get the heck out! Don't haggle me over leaving something in the cart! I'm sorry you can't pull it along the cash roller anymore! Retire! I shall stick with Sobeys and Walmart, since your sales are really no better at this point.

We were really impressed with this Co op! Seemed really clean, good presentation, some great prices/sales and friendly staff! Wish it was closer to where we live!
We often use this store, the staff are always very friendly, we buy all our meat products there, also ,thank you for making it easy to find Canadian products, it is appreciated
Staff is always awesome and the store is never dirty. Prices are sometimes a little outrageous and while they have lots of stuff, they always seem to be out of the things that I want. The rewards system is nice, but having to have 2 different co-op numbers because the store is owned by one franchise and the gas station (which is on the same lot) is owned by another.
Overall, take it or leave it. It's at least convenient if you live in town.
I'm not really impressed with the store lately. They got some nice renos and the store looks great. Feeling a little gauged by their prices lately. Doesn't make you want to support the town grocery store. I understand prices have gone up everywhere. The supply isn't there. Yes, delays on deliveries everywhere. The produce is still not great. At least I haven't found any rotten onions lately. Unfortunately I'll be shopping in the city for most of my needs.
Nice clean store with everything you need. Some sales occasionally that are worth going there for. The staff are pleasant to.

Receiver was great 👍 terrible spot to back in with long wheelbase trucks. Garbage bins dropped poorly by waste management, making for a tough back in. Day cabs should have no issue.
*The store needs to contact waste management to fix this*
Instead of saying "it's not our problem"
Love this grocery store...average sized store with plenty of choices. I always find something unusual to purchase
No self checkouts, very expensive, creepy security..not a very good experience.
I like the quality of this grocery store and in particular the meat counters. However, and this is a big one… they are absolutely unreliable when it comes to having well stocked shelves. This is my number one deterrent in shopping here. I’ve been in and not been able to get the simplest most common items like ground beef. Ground beef was not on sale but the shelf was completely empty. My most recent visit the entire poultry counter was empty and I’m talking absolutely nothing available not even a rogue wing! Surely you can do better than this. I’d love to give you more business if I could trust that when I go into your store I can find what I’m looking for and not be frustrated and forced to make another trip to another store. It’s a huge waste of my time.
I like the renovation, it’s made the store feel nice and clean. I do think you could add to your product lines, with all that extra space not being utilized to its potential.
One other thing to add is I greatly dislike that you now require loonies to use your carts. Slows down everything and in a world where we never have enough time this is not a time saver for a lot of people.
Always good selection of foods, fresh deli dishes! Friendly staff

80% of the pumps are self serve but on any given day the pumps won't print a receipt. No, it doesn't matter if it's warm or cold... I don't have the same issue at other stations. The problem is consistent and has been for a while.
People may say I’m biased here, but I also do not agree with previous management on more than plenty, many, more than I can describe. Keep in mind I was a young teenager. When my family managed it. I had no voice.
As an adult I’d say much more. Anyway, as of now may main issue is actually OVER help. In particular I was filling my windshield fluid recently, which I am perfectly capable of. One of the pumpers, an older gentleman offered to help once. I said it’s okay I can handle it, he walked away, I simply asked if they had a funnel, instead he seemed to take that as he could take over. I asked him to stop repeatedly, which he did not. I did not like someone else doing something on my car when I DID NOT give them permission. I in fact said multiple times “no”. I will be calling the store.
I’m so happy to see this Co-op gas station supporting and employing older Canadians who are clearly working hard to supplement their pensions. The service was excellent—courteous and professional.
Traveling on vacation and stopped into this station because of the car wash. Well...what a waste of money! Probably the worst automatic wash I've been through. Honestly, it couldn't even wash cat tracks off the tonneau cover even when I paid for the most expensive wash. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be stepping on the gas pedal instead of the brake.
I’m tired of this co op. The car wash is terrible . The drink machines are always broken . And you can’t pay at the pump you have to go in to pre pay and then when you are done pumping your gas it doesn’t give you a receipt . And have to wait a day they said for it to give back what you didn’t pump. So it’s not pay at the pump when you have to go inside twice . Done with it
