Built in 1919 by the Ukrainian Labour Temple Association (today the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians), the Ukrainian Labour Temple is a National, Provincial and Municipal historic site based on its role as a centre of progressive social movements and its architectural significance.

The Ukrainian Labour Temple is available to rent for rehearsals, community programs, meetings, conferences, concerts, lectures, socials, weddings, showers and many other parties and events. The Labour Temple is also occasionally used as a filming location.

Main Hall (capacity 325 people)

Our gorgeous main hall is a trademark of North End Winnipeg. It has a stage with audio and lighting equipment, a bar, and an upper balcony. The large hall can accommodate a variety of seating arrangements including concert seating, banquets (round tables), or meetings (rectangular tables). Renters can request that use of the commercial kitchen (located in the basement) be included in their rental agreement.

*Fun fact: Our main hall was featured in the 2004 romantic comedy 'Shall we Dance?' with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez.

Basement Hall (capacity 165 people):

Our basement hall is a useful space for a variety of gatherings, including community programs, meetings, and family gatherings. Renters can request that use of the commercial kitchen (adjacent to the basement hall) be included in their rental agreement.

*Fun fact: For 38 years (1972-2010), we hosted the Lviv Pavilion during Folklorama each summer. The basement hall is where we served all the perogies!

Commercial Kitchen

Our kitchen has two gas ranges and ovens, a commercial dishwasher, several food prep areas, and limited dry and cold storage spaces. Our kitchen is an approved community kitchen, available for rent to small food-related businesses or not-for-profit organizations.
